La Sportiva was the very first sponsorship I ever had, way back in 2006, so to partner back up with them nearly 10 years later is particularly satisfying. In the intervening years my interests in the mountains gradually expanded to match their core mission of producing the highest quality products for all self-powered mountain adventure, whether it be running, scrambling, climbing, mountaineering, or skiing. With their own factory in the heart of the Italian Dolomites, La Sportiva remains committed to designing footwear, apparel, and hard-goods that never compromise their heritage of high quality, handcrafted products. That's a heritage I am proud to represent.

Petzl is one of the most respected mountain companies in the industry, making only the highest quality products for the vertical world. Long days in the mountains—whether it be races or personal climbing projects—almost always require a pre-dawn start or continuing through the night. As such, Petzl makes lightweight and long-burning headlamps to get the job done. My partnership with them began in 2014.

Ultimate Direction first created the hydration pack category over 20 years ago and continues to seek innovation in designing products for self-supported mountain adventures. Brand Manager Buzz Burrell promised me a collaborative partnership in 2012 and has continued to deliver on that by since bringing several new products to market. The Signature Series line of hydration vests offers something for anyone who appreciates light weight, function, and simplicity and is looking to travel efficiently in the mountains.

Stance entered the performance sock category in 2015, and with this have provided an exciting opportunity for fusing style and fun with function. That's something I try to do myself in all aspects of life, so working with them makes sense.

I partnered with Zeal in 2014 because they share my desire for performance and function without sacrificing style. Additionally, they are the only sunglass company whose frames are manufactured completely from plant-based resins (instead of petroleum), and they even have cotton-based, biodegradable models. I identify strongly with this commitment to sustainability, and with their headquarters being only a few blocks from my Boulder home, working with them is a natural fit.
